PPL Electric Utilities offers new service to customers who are moving
This new service can help our customers by relieving some of the stress of moving into a new home.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (June 20, 2017) -- Moving to a new home can be stressful, so PPL Electric Utilities is offering its customers a free service to make the process easier.

When residential customers call PPL to set up their electric service — whether for the first time or when moving — they now will have the option to take care of their cable or satellite television, home phone, internet and home security services at the same time.

PPL has reached an agreement with Allconnect Inc., a company that helps millions of utility customers nationwide save time and money on home services as they move into a new home. The service is optional and completely free to PPL customers.

With one phone call, customers can establish their new electricity account and get the option to speak with an Allconnect advisor who will review information on other services available at the new home or apartment, then place the customer’s orders and schedule installations.

“Our goal at PPL is to provide an exceptional customer experience with every interaction, and this is just one more way we are adding value,” said Chris Cardenas, Customer Services vice president. “This new service can help our customers by relieving some of the stress of moving into a new home.”

On average, more than 200,000 PPL residential customers set up new electric service or transfer their existing service each year.

PPL Electric Utilities provides electric delivery service to more than 1.4 million homes and businesses in Pennsylvania and ranks among the best utility companies in the country for customer service and reliability. PPL Electric Utilities is a major employer in the communities it serves. It is a subsidiary of PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL). For more information visit www.pplelectric.com.
