PPL Corporation to Conduct Conference Call, Webcast on Year-End, Fourth-Quarter Earnings Results

PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL) plans to release its consolidated year-end and fourth-quarter 2002 earnings results before the stock market opens on the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 22. PPL management will discuss these results and the company's business outlook during a conference call with financial analysts at 9 a.m. (EST) on that day.

William F. Hecht, PPL chairman, president and chief executive officer, and John R. Biggar, executive vice president and chief financial officer, will conduct the conference call, which will be available online live, in audio format, on PPL's Internet Web site at www.pplweb.com.
