PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL) plans to release its consolidated second-quarter 2002 earnings before the stock market opens on the morning of Tuesday, July 23.

PPL management will discuss these results and the company's business outlook during a conference call with financial analysts at 9 a.m. (EDT) that day.
William F. Hecht, PPL chairman, president and chief executive officer, and John R.
