Montgomery County Power Line Open House Postponed to Feb. 3
Forecast Forced Rescheduling of Event
PPL Electric Utilities

A forecast for wintry conditions Wednesday (1/26) has forced the postponement of PPL Electric Utilities’ open house on the rebuilding of the 230-kilovolt Whitpain-Buxmont transmission line.

The event is rescheduled to Feb. 3 from 5 to 7 p.m., and will remain at the same venue, the Franconia Heritage Restaurant & Conference Center, Route 113 and Allentown Road, 508 Harleysville Pike, Telford.

The 8-mile line that will be rebuilt runs through Salford, Franconia, Lower Salford and Towamencin townships. PPL Electric Utilities will rebuild the line in the existing rights of way.

The PPL Electric Utilities project team will be on hand to provide information and to answer any questions. There is no set agenda or formal presentation, so interested residents should feel free to visit anytime between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

PPL Electric Utilities, a subsidiary of PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL), provides electric delivery services to about 1.4 million customers in Pennsylvania and has consistently ranked among the best companies for customer service in the United States.
