ALLENTOWN, Pa. (March 5, 2019) – PPL Electric Utilities has been recognized by the Southeastern Electric Exchange (S.E.E.) for its continued efforts to improve employee safety and for achieving the safest year in the company’s history during 2018.

S.E.E., a non-profit association of investor-owned utilities, confers the Industry Excellence Award for Safety annually to member utilities for safety performance. The award will be presented later this year at the association’s Annual Conference and Trade Show in Washington, D.C.

The award is a recognition of a series of programs initiated by PPL Electric Utilities to engage employees and foster a safety mindset among workers. PPL’s award nomination submission noted the company’s emphasis on stretching among employees, the use of athletic trainers and training programs that place an emphasis on safety.
