Program funds brighter futures for 22 students pursuing careers in STEM fields

PPL Foundation today announced the 2022 recipients of its annual scholarship program, which will provide financial awards to 22 outstanding students from communities throughout eastern and central Pennsylvania.

“Educated residents who are ready to tackle today’s problems and find solutions for the future are critical as we move toward a cleaner energy future,” said Lissette Santana, chief operating officer of the PPL Foundation. “The PPL Foundation is proud to provide scholarships to help students throughout Pennsylvania pursue their interests in engineering, information technology and the trades.”

The PPL Foundation awarded scholarships totaling $92,500. With a focus on increasing interest in STEM careers, the program awarded 15 scholarships of $5,000 to students pursuing college degrees and seven scholarships of $2,500 for students pursuing tech and trade careers.
