The Pequea Boat Ramp will reopen on Nov. 21. Dredging of the Pequea Creek area, which will improve boating conditions during lower lake levels outside of normal recreation season, has been completed.

The York Furnace Boat Ramp will be closed from Nov. 28 through Dec. 21 for boat ramp rehabilitation.

“The dredging at Pequea is part of PPL’s commitment to provide and improve public recreation at this popular area for boating on the Susquehanna River,” said John M. Levitski, PPL’s regional community relations director for the Lancaster area. “As a result of completing this process, we have reopened the boat ramp at Pequea. That commitment is also the reason why we are closing the York Furnace Boat Ramp for about three weeks. The work at the York Furnace Boat Ramp will further improve recreational facilities at Holtwood.”

PPL Corporation, headquartered in Allentown, Pa., owns or controls about 19,000 megawatts of generating capacity in the United States, sells energy in key U.S. markets, and delivers electricity and natural gas to about 10 million customers in the United States and the United Kingdom.
