PPL Montana Announces Temporary Public Access Closure of Morony Dam River Access Site
PPL Montana

PPL Montana, in consultation with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, will close the Morony Dam River Access Site on June 3 for public safety as PPL Montana completes repairs on a generator at Morony Dam. The closure will continue through Dec. 20.

The access road to the Morony Dam River Access Site will be closed at the Sulphur Spring trailhead. The trailhead and trailhead parking lot will remain open as well as access to Ryan Island. PPL Montana recently re-opened to public access the North Shore section of River’s Edge Trail between the Rainbow and Ryan dams, following completion of the Rainbow development project.
