PPL EnergyPlus has expanded its service to offer western and northwestern Pennsylvania residents a new choice in electricity suppliers. Customers in the Penelec utility region can now choose PPL EnergyPlus for a fixed price on their electricity supply, which is one portion of their electric bill.

“Penelec customers may be able to lower their electric bills with our fixed price, since it’s lower than the Penelec price to compare and offers customers price stability,” said Annette Durnack, director of marketing for PPL EnergyPlus.

The PPL EnergyPlus price is 7.45 cents per kilowatt-hour through the customer’s meter reading that includes May 31, 2014, compared to Penelec’s current price to compare for July of 8.69 cents per kilowatt-hour.
