PPL Montana to Close Access Road to Black Eagle Dam

PPL Montana will close River Drive North near its Black Eagle Dam beginning Thursday (9/5) to allow crews to safely repair a retaining wall adjacent to the road.

The company expects to keep the road closed for about three weeks. River Drive North provides access to Black Eagle Memorial Island. Visitors will still be able to access the island from the River’s Edge Trail.

PPL Montana’s Black Eagle Dam is located at Black Eagle Falls on the Missouri River, about two miles downstream from Great Falls, Mont.
