PPL Corporation to Conduct Conference Call, Webcast on Third-Quarter Earnings Results

ALLENTOWN, Pa.
PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL) plans to release its consolidated third-quarter 2002 earnings after the stock market closes on the afternoon of Thursday, Oct. 17. PPL management will discuss these results and the company's business outlook during a conference call with financial analysts at 8:30 a.m. (EDT) on Friday, Oct. 18.

William F. Hecht, PPL chairman, president and chief executive officer, and John R.
